Shelby Hagerdon is a Creative Producer and Writer at Made By Things, an animation studio. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Mass Communication at Wayne State College, focusing on film, media literacy, screenwriting, advertising, studio management and producing, the history of mass communication, and socially-conscious storytelling. 

 

Hagerdon has produced countless commercials and videos for some of the world's most influential brands, including Lightspeed Venture Partners and their portfolio companies, Provide Banking, and major universities (among others). Her work has been featured in streaming and online media, Times Square, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

 

She has also produced five feature films, of which, she directed or co-directed three as well as several shorts. She holds an MFA in Writing for Film and Television from Emerson College, one of the top American film schools. Her scripts have excelled in competitions, including the Austin Film Festival and Screencraft.
